Campfire Kinship Storytelling Inc. Awarded the Investment Readiness Program Grant by the Government of Canada, with Support from Community Foundations of Canada

Calgary, AB – July 21, 2023

Campfire Kinship Storytelling Inc. (CKSI) is proud to announce that it has been selected as a recipient of the Investment Readiness Program (IRP) Grant, funded by the Government of Canada and served by Community Foundations of Canada, one of the IRP’s national funding intermediaries. The IRP is a $50 million grants and contributions program designed to support social-purpose organizations as they contribute to solving pressing social, cultural, and environmental challenges across Canada.

CKSI is dedicated to fostering a more inclusive world through transformative approaches grounded in evidence-based storytelling. The project being funded, called the “Partnership Expansion Strategy and Plan,” aims to forge meaningful partnerships with values-aligned organizations; leading to accelerated progress towards building a more equitable society, and an expanded capacity to participate in Canada’s growing social finance market.

“We are deeply honored and excited to receive the IRP Grant along with the invaluable support of Community Foundations of Canada,” said Gayathri Shukla, Founder. “We have made remarkable strides in our mission and are at a critical phase. This grant allows us to establish strategic partnerships that will unlock new opportunities to promote inclusivity and empowerment in our communities nationwide, while preparing us for investment readiness.”
